“ 1st time to go in this specific locale, & 2nd ever in any of this chain places on the philippines (1st time there was with local & international family, & was also enjoyable). got there yesterday (jan 28 '20), & front desk woman was nice enough to disclose the weekday special of the vegetarian version of their largest pie; i was already thinking that i'd get a 2nd rate experience because of the deep discount & happy to say it didn't happen. this was 1 of the best pizzas of this american chain i've ever had, & i think what did it was the way in which the girl inside the kitchen handcrafts the dough (she should go to pizzaiolo school :-D anyways, nice experience all around; thanks again..-) ”

“ If you've tried Papa Johns in the US, you know what you're in for. Its fast food delivery pizza, not authentic Italian style. But that doesn't mean its bad. Portions here seem to be smaller than in the USA. Their small size here is just 9 inches. But that 9-inch pizza is surprisingly filling. All if their pizzas come with a whole jalapeño & their signature garlic butter sauce. The pizza itself isn't terribly remarkable. A step above Greenwich & Yellow Cab for sure, but not at the level of a pizza from a real Italian restaurant. But their secret weapon us really that garlic butter sauce. That's what elevates their pizza from a 3 to a 4. Delivery from their Jupiter branch from Makati to Taguig generally takes half the time quoted, which is great. Receiving a pizza in 30 minutes in metro Manila is no small accomplishment. Their phone ordering system is prompt, with caller ID and they store your delivery info. No waiting on hold, unlike Dominos. They are inconsistent with the condiments tho. A small pizza supposedly comes with 1 garlic sauce. I always order 1 extra. But I've received anywhere from 1 to 4 depending on their mood. They offer free parmesan ( if they remember it). No hot sauce (unless they're just always forgetting it). No tissues. They do have chili flakes tho. Other places always give you a flyer with menu to facilitate repeat orders. Papa Johns never does that. Dont know why. It seems like a no brainer to increase order frequency. I still say the best most authentic pizza is from Caffe Puccini. But Papa Johns with their garlic sauce is definitely worth trying. Especially if you don't want to go out. ”

“ I learned the full extent of living independently when I lived in the US for a while. Aside from doing your own laundry, cleaning your apartment, taking out the trash, one of the most challenging is cooking your daily meals unless you want to starve to death. Since cooking was such a chore, not to mention going to the grocery to buy ingredients, food delivery was my escape. One of the pizza places that I've discovered and delivers was Papa Johns. I would order the most basic pizza off the menu, since I was on a budget so I got Pepperoni pizza. The pizza was tasty but what I loved about it was the Garlic oil condiment that came with it. I had a feeling they would put up a branch here in Manila and I was right. When Papa John's arrived here I was excited to try it out. I was actually more excited if they also brought the Garlic oil condiment for their pizza too and they did. If you want to try another great pizza place, Papa John's is a winner and don't forget to drizzle it with that special Garlic oil. ”

“ The kind of pizza I like needs the following specifications: thin-crusted, but not-cracker hard; the tomato sauce has to be savory and not sweet (cough, Greenwich, cough); and the cheese has got to be quality, the kind of cheese that gets stringy when you pull off the pizza. Papa John's definitely satisfied all these requirements, and I really like how you can eat their pizza with whole jalapenos! I love spicy things, peppers especially, and being able to eat a whole jalapeno with my pizza is the best thing ever. I wouldn't ever have thought of that combination, but it's tasty and it totally works. My family and I eat at Papa John's every so often specifically because of the jalapeno thing, but if jalapenos aren't your favorite, never fear! This place has awesome pizza anyway, with or without the delicious peppers on the side. ”

“ I like Papa John's. It's not my exactly my favorite pizza place, but it's rock solid. The Papa John's at DLSU recently shut down, but it hasn't stopped me from eating at other Papa John's branches. I had some really good memories associated with that place - mostly because it was our go-to birthday celebration dinner place and our go-to org working lunch place because there was a 30% discount for students. I mean, when you're looking for a good barkada meal, pizza is always in the conversation right? Papa John's makes damn good pizza: particularly their chicken pizza with the barbecue sauce drizzled on top - that's fucking divine. If you can get another pizza, add in their pepperoni too which is also pretty good. Not only that, but Papa John's offers a variety of good pasta too - their spicy penne is one to look out for. They also have a variety of barkada-packaged meals which can actually feed more than they're described. (The 4-person barkada meal can definitely feed 6.) Papa John's makes pizza a hell of a lot better than a lot of pizza chain places, and then some, so if you're itching for some good and pretty damn sulit pizza, then it's a good place to go to. ”
